Cultural & Heritage Trail
If you prefer to discover Port Hedland at your own pace, you can pick up a copy of the Cultural and Heritage Trail self-guided tour, which takes you around the West End to historic sites and buildings, telling the story of the early Hedland days and the characters which helped build the town into what it is today.
Sites along the route include the old St Matthews Church site, the sea baths, the old cemetery, SS Koombana Lookout, Don Rhodes Mining Museum and the Aboriginal/Afghan water source, all of which help to tell Port Hedland's fascinating story.
