Twilight Industry (Port) Tour

Experience the port industry at its most majestic from the outside looking in on this memorable guided twilight tour of the Port Hedland Port.  See the Port during daylight and then when the lights are turned on. This bus tour will guide you through the port’s resource industry taking in the notable port landmarks including the entry channel, our miner’s port operations, the huge ships and ship loading.

During this popular tour you will learn about the history of the town and the port and its importance to the resources industry in the region. You will also enjoy a complimentary ‘sundowner’ refreshment as you watch the ships at sunset.

WHAT YOU WILL SEE

See the world’s largest bulk loading port from the outside looking in with our expert guide. On this 1 ½ hour bus tour learn about the history of the port, as you travel past the Dampier Salt site around to Finucane Island where you’ll learn about our miners, BHP, FMG, Roy Hill and others.

As the sun sets over the port enjoy a complimentary beverage while watching the ships come and go. On your trip home you’ll see the whole port light up as the night shift begins.

TOUR INCLUSIONS

The tour includes a fully air-conditioned bus trip and stops on the way will allow you to get out, take photos and experience the port in the open air, including enjoying a complimentary drink whilst taking in the majestic view of the Port Hedland sunset over the ocean.

We don’t venture far from the vehicle, so a minimal level of fitness is required for this tour.
